I am so frustrated with slow loss should have had RNY
I had surgery August 19th and have only lost 71 pounds since surgery. I am hungry and can eat anything I want just smaller portions. i do not make poor choices but I AM SO FRUSTRATED THAT I AM BEGINING TO THINK I REALLY SHOULD HAVE HAD THE RNY
Anyone else regret the descicion to have sleeve rather than another surgery option?

71 pounds is fantastic!!!!! I had RNY Aug. 20 and have lost 72 pounds since surgery and my doctor said I am ahead of the "average" The "average" for RNY is to lose 1/2 of the extra weight by 6 months. I have 20 more pounds to lose to reach's my doctor's goal and 30 more to lose to reach my goal.
Just remember when have you ever lost 70 pounds in 5 months before!
Keep up the great work and you will reach your goal!!

13 lbs was lost pre-op
Hang in there! I was banded Aug 12 and have lost 58lbs. Remember we do lose slower than RNY...but it's gone for good. You say you can eat anything do you need a fill? I know before my last fill I could eat anything and large amounts, now since my last fill, I know I am not at my sweet spot, but I definitly can't eat large amounts and do get stuck on certain foods. Also I don't eat a lot in the mornings. 71lbs is a TON!!! I know your frustration I have been losing very slowly the last couple months, but I know the scale is moving in the right direction and yours is too....
I delivered 6 weeks early a 5lb 15oz lil boy:) After spending 2 months on bed rest in the hospital and Mason spending 11 days in the NICU, we're both home and doing great! Mason is getting bigger and gaining weight like he should. Now it's my turn to lose this weight! It's tough to get back on the band wagon...I CAN do this!
I had RNY 8/25 and I have lost 65. I think each person is just different. I am having the longest stall cant seem to stay off the 200 mark. 198 right now but in the AM could be 200, just like a teeter-totter. I have increased my exercise, making sure i get enough water, and insuring I eat protein first , just have to be patient.
